The Croix de Fer is that annoying but endearing friend who can naturally turn their hand to anything and yet remains modest throughout.
From its roots as the very definition of a cross bike to the most forward-thinking build we have created to date, the Reynolds 725 frame benefits from 12mm thru-axles front and rear for added stiffness. Shimano’s predictable 105 hydraulic discs bring the best braking in class to drop-bar bikes, while a 32-spoke wheelset hints at the CdF’s load lugging abilities. The all-new GRX rear mech also opens up the opportunities for a wider-range cassette or a change to a single ring drivetrain if you choose. Equally happy commuting in the city one year, before turning into a supertourer the next, the Croix de Fer has always been in it for the long haul and is ready for whatever, whenever you are.
